Becky Cox hosted the fall Dove Fellowship in the fellowship hall at church. The evening was built around decorating jars that we had around the house. Becky prepared the fellowship hall in such a warm and friendly way. A number of ladies came, and we had a wonderful time together. We began with getting delicious snacks that people brought, then had a devotional from God’s Word given by Janice MacAvoy. She talked about how we need to be saved, cleansed, and yielded to the Lord in order to be the kind of vessel that God wants us to be. Becky Cox then began something that we would like to do in our Dove Fellowships. She brought a small basket including items that describe who she is, so that people could get to know her better.
Next, Bonnie Goldman gave a lovely demonstration on how we can use plants, nuts, etc. around our yard to combine with a bouquet of flowers to make beautiful flower arrangements. We then went to work, with Becky’s guidance, on decorating some unique and fun jars.
We talked about how we would like to aim for four Dove Fellowships per year: one in March, one in June, one in September, and one in December (at our Dove Fellowship Christmas Party). This year our Christmas Party will be on Friday, December 12th from 7-9 PM in the fellowship hall. If any lady would like to “hostess” a Dove Fellowship sometime, either in your home or at the church, let Janice know.
