Doves

Dove Fellowship, 9/19/15 Theresa Hatcher, Cindy Knupp, and Helen Creech put this fellowship time together. The activity was teaching ladies how to knit a simple, yet beautiful decorative scarf. They planned tacos for our dinner, and the fellowship time was from 4 – 6 PM in the church fellowship hall. Michelle Donahue gave a wonderful devotional, inspired by a practice that she has done many times as a nurse: having an emergency preparedness plan for different situations. Michelle chose Romans 12:12 as the theme verse for her emergency preparedness plan as a mother with young children and the challenges, as well as the blessings, that job brings. She pointed out that the Bible tells us to rejoice in hope, to be patient in tribulation, and to continue instant in prayer. She said that she often finds it helpful to just step back from the situation and call out to the Lord for help. It was such a blessing to us all, as we desire to have godly lives in whatever situation the Lord has placed us.

We had a wonderful time together. If you would like to consider hostessing a Dove Fellowship sometime in 2016, let Janice MacAvoy know!
