Annual Church Picnic
Our annual church picnic was on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023. We enjoyed relaxing and connecting with our church family. Lilly & Molly van Wingerden did face painting while Grant Condrey led children's games. For lunch the church provided hamburgers, hotdogs, macaroni & cheese, green beans and lemonade by Dennis and Theresa Hatcher.
Dennis challenged us to serve the Lord from Josh 23.14-15: "Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
We concluded the picnic with a Corn Hole tournament! Winners were Grant Condrey in first place, Todd Young in 2nd place and Becky Mills in 3rd place. The judges were Andrew Jukkola and Darrell Estabrook, our newest deacons.
